INTERNSHIP ELIGIBILITY
Best of Student Shooters (B.O.S.S.) Youth League Fund & Business Of Success & Sports (B.O.S.S.) Youth League non profit program offers internship positions in Coaching, Score and Book Keeping, Fund Raising, Media Relations, Cold Calling, Marketing, Check In For Students and Participants, Mentorship, Basketball/Entrepreneurship Operations, Broadcasting (Radio & TV Production), Business Development, Community & Government Relations, and Publicity.

Working Hours

Company Administrative Hours - Tuesday, 4:30pm-7:30pm, Wednesday, 4:00pm-6:00pm, Thursday, 4:30pm-8:30pm, Some Weekends 8:00am - 1:00pm.

Some Interns work Game Nights to include weekends and holidays
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to complete community service hours, *high school students must meet the following requirements:

Be enrolled in a school program at the time of the internship

Must be age 16 and over

Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above

To be eligible to complete a credited internship, *college students must meet the following requirements:

Are enrolled in a degree program at the time of the internship

Have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above

College Junior, Senior or Graduate level student

Recent college graduate (up to 18 months following graduation date)

Seeking for students pursuing a degree in Sports/ Physical Education (coaches),
Marketing, Education, Health and Business (preferably teachers).
RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist in managing the Best of Student Shooters (B.O.S.S.) Youth League Fund now Business Of Success & Sports (B.O.S.S.) Youth League non profit program under the direction of the Directors.

Instruct students on the rules, regulations, fundamentals, equipment, and proper skills and techniques of the sport of basketball or entrepreneurship.

Instruct student in game strategies and philosophies.

Assist Director in developing and implementing practice and training plans.

Monitor academic success of students through study programs, etc.

Evaluate and recruit students in accordance with standards.

Assist in administrative duties including schedules, travel arrangements, meals, game management, equipment ordering, scouting, evaluation procedures, etc.

Work cooperatively with personnel at the Best Of Student Shooters (BOSS) Youth League Fund Inc. non profit program .

Attend Best of Student Shooters (B.O.S.S.) Youth League Fund & Business Of Success & Sports (B.O.S.S.) Youth League non profit program meetings and activities.

Represent Best of Student Shooters (B.O.S.S.) Youth League Fund & Business Of Success & Sports (B.O.S.S.) Youth League positively in interactions with the community, recruits, families, alumni, media, and general public.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The individual must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be able to interact effectively with a diverse group of constituents and be a positive representative of Best of Student Shooters (B.O.S.S.) Youth League Fund & Business Of Success & Sports (B.O.S.S.) Youth League non profit program. Knowledge of, and compliance with, specific rules and reporting guidelines that relate to this position can assist with this program. Must possess a strong commitment to students and be able to adhere to and promote a culture of sportsmanship, learning, professionalism and respect. This individual must be able to maintain confidentiality, practice discretion with personal information, and be able to travel and work non-traditional hours. In addition, the individual must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This individual must be able to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.
